I made 100 cupcakes yesterday! I had a tattoo appointment and I wanted to bring Kelly ( my artist) a sample of my cupcakes. I made A Rainbow cupcake that has 4 color cake with 4 color and fruit flavor butter cream, A Rich Chocolate Cupcake with bright Pink butter cream, A Banana Cupcake filled with Whipped cream topped with banana butter cream rolled in chocolate sprinkles and topped with nuts and a cherry. And lastly I made a Sour Patch Kid Cup cake.

It is Sunday morning and at our house that means coupon day!
We like to pick up extra copies of the Sunday paper for the inserts. Those are the little glossy ads they put in the Sunday papers. This is where I get at least 75% of my coupons.
I save $23 today with double coupons at my local Rainbow foods today.
I spent just $17 on all this!
That's $40 worth of groceries for just $17!!!
This is not the most savings for a Rainbow trip for me but this is what I got today. Once on a double double day (some days Rainbow lets you double 10 coupons instead of 5) my total for $67 worth of groceries was .67 Even the cashier was amazed!

For a lot of people it's kids that end up eating a lot of what you make be it cupcakes or deep fried. Around our house the kids also love Lego's.My friend Pat Washington started a new blog http://ssarmory.blogspot.com/
It's all about Legos and other great toys. He post's new articles about whats new in the world of Lego daily. Along with some seriously amazing pictures of what folks are doing with Lego's these days. This is made from Lego's!!
His blog inspired me do make a Lego cake. I have never done a Lego cake before so I took out all my pans to see what I thought fit together best to make a giant Lego. I decided on a bread pan for my base and mini cupcakes for my knobs.
This cake was not as easy as I thought it would be. A simple rectangle with 6 knobs turned out to quit a challenge for me,I guess I prefer a more natural shape. It was also very difficult for me to get a straight side using butter cream frosting so if your have any experience with fondant I would think it would work better here.
Today I would love to hear from other people what they would like to see me make next.
like,What has been the very best thing you ever had deep fried?Or the most memorable cupcake you have ever eaten.
Just leave me a comment telling me your thoughts and I'll try to pair your ideas with whats on sale this week at my grocery store and see what new treasures we can make together!
